Portland Chiropractor
Dr. Arn Strasser
Portland chiropractor Dr. Arn Strasser is an advocate for patient-centered, natural health care based on encouraging the body’s innate ability to heal and a belief that prevention is the key to health.
Dr. Strasser is a herniated disc specialist, with advanced training in Cox flexion distraction protocol, and a specialist in craniosacral cranial therapy. He treats headaches and migraine, neck, middle back and low back pain, extremity and sports injuries, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue and other holistic and neurological imbalances in the body.
Dr. Strasser was first introduced to Chiropractic when a persistent headache was treated in a single treatment by a chiropractor in Oakland, California. He was later part of a program that was studying the benefit of combining Chiropractic, nutrition and Tai-Chi to promote wellness and prevention.
These influences helped to excite him about the health potential of Chiropractic care. The drugless, whole person approach of Chiropractic and its emphasis on treating the nervous system, was especially important in choosing a chiropractic career.
Dr. Strasser received his BA and MA from Michigan State University. He received a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon. He received his doctorate from Western States Chiropractic College after completing an internship at the Western States clinic.
Dr. Strasser provides a unique, gentle approach to drugless chiropractic health care. He works in partnership with his patients to achieve optimal health through chiropractic, cranial therapy, traditional osteopathy and nutrition. The goal of Dr. Strasser’s practice is to provide excellence in diagnosis, gentle researched techniques, and individualized, solution-oriented care in a calm and supportive atmosphere.
He is the author of numerous articles on chiropractic management of neck and back pain, non-surgical care of neck and low back disc injuries, the treatment of children, migraine and headaches and pain management.
SELF magazine named Dr. Strasser one of the 27 most curative chiropractors in the country, based on input from other chiropractors and the chiropractic associations.
